The 3M Silicon Carbide Wheel is available in both premium-quality green silicon carbide and standard-quality black silicon carbide abrasive minerals. Green silicon carbide mineral offers the advantage of longer life, whereas black silicon carbide provides freer and faster cut. With green silicon carbide or black silicon carbide, the synthetic mineral is very hard and fractures easily, resulting in freshly exposed sharp edges that cut extra-fast to quickly restore a wheel’s shape and cutting ability.
