It is designed to provide additional protection from heat to the wearer and the safety helmet. The streamlined design helps prevent interference with other equipment during use and the fabric part can be easily replaced when needed. Wearing a front cover reduces the possibility of particulate dropping into the users face when the faceshield is lifted.
