3M™ Torch Flame Resistant Barrier SE Series is a flexible, flame-resistant barrier sheet for electric vehicle battery applications. The product is made of inorganic insulating paper with mechanical reinforcement layers on one or both sides. It features high temperature and flame resistance and can be applied within the EV battery pack as a vent path barrier.

Features

  • Good dielectric strength
  • Can be combined with flame retardant 3M™ VHB™ Tape or double coated tape (DCT) for adhesion to a surface
  • Inorganic-based paper reinforced for improved mechanical properties on one or both sides
  • High temperature and flame resistant up to 1000°C (1832°F) for at least 10 minutes
