3M™ VHB™ Tape 4979F offers a robust and permanent acrylic bonding solution that adheres quickly and securely to a variety of thin, lightweight, and dissimilar materials. Created for challenging environments and conditions, it can replace rivets, welds, and screws while providing valuable time saving by eliminating the need for drilling, welding, grinding, and project cleanup. The versatile and easy-to-use bonding method is highly conformable and provides seamless joining that keeps surfaces smooth and aesthetically pleasing to deliver a professional application. The advanced technology of the pressure-sensitive adhesive protects against moisture and seals tightly for long-term durability, performing in short-term use at a temperature up to 300 °F (149 °C) or long-term use withstanding up to 200 °F (93 °C). Having excellent plasticizer resistance, 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4979F excels across many industries, including general industrial, transportation, construction, appliance assembly and repair, signage, and electronics.
