The 18V LXT® Cordless 24" Hedge Trimmer (XHU10Z) is part of Makita's wide range of cordless outdoor power equipment. The XHU10Z Hedge Trimmer has a 24" blade for increased cutting capacity and a compact and ergonomic design that weighs up to 30% less than gas models. It features a Makita-built motor that delivers 2,700 SPM for faster cutting speed when set on the high speed option. It has the power to cut thick branches 9/16" in diameter. The 24" dual-action double-sided steel blade provides optimal performance. The XHU10Z delivers up to 100 minutes of run time with 18V LXT® 4.0Ah battery (sold separately). Convenience features include a compact and ergonomic design at only 40-1/2" long, and a rubberized soft grip that provides increased comfort on the job. The cordless XHU10Z has zero emissions and reduced maintenance: there's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, and no air filter or muffler to clean. And there's no need to drain the fuel for storage. Simply pick up your Hedge Trimmer, load an 18V LXT® battery, and the trimmer is ready to use. It's part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
