The 18V LXT® Cordless Grass Shear (XMU05Z, tool only) is a compact and cordless solution for grass trimming and cutting. The XMU05Z has dual blade action and a 4-5/16” cutting width. It delivers faster blade speed at 2,500 strokes per minute/SPM. Get up to 2 hours of run time with a fully charged 18V LXT® 5.0Ah Battery (sold separately). Additional features include a rubberized soft grip handle, tool-less blade changing, non-electrolyzed nickel-plated blades to resist staining and rusting, and a compact size. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita’s purpose-built motors, battery technology, and enhanced communications work together to deliver maximum performance and efficiency. The LXT System offers cordless tools, equipment, and accessories for every trade. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
