FAQ

Is Loctite 545 the same as purple 222 threadlocker? No. Both are purple, but 545 seals fluid fittings against leaks, while 222 is a low-strength threadlocker for small screws.

Why use 545 instead of PTFE tape? Tape can shred and send fragments into hydraulic valves and filters. Loctite 545 cures in the threads with no loose pieces.
